    Xbox One X Internal Storage


    My Xbox one X for a while now has been saying that I no longer have enough memory to update my game. I have been just deleting old games to free up the space for updates, but now that is no longer working. I have 600gbs of free space on my internal hard
    drive, but it will not let me update saying no free space. The two links below show the message I am receiving and the amount of free space I have.

    Quick resume isn't a xbox one feature it's a series feature

    You can expand the internal memory in a series x by using the xbox storage cards

    As they are nvme

    You cannot use a mechanical or ssd drive

    An SSD provides more storage space not memory and yes you will be able to use it to store Xbox One and games for Xbox 360. Xbox Series X games are required to be on the internal SSD storage or the add on 1TB SSD storage that plugs into the unit.

    Have you verified there is plenty of free space on the Internal Storage drive? You can check under Settings > System > Storage.
