  1. Xbox One X intermittently loses HDMI signal

I have a standard Xbox One X connected to a Sony 49XE8005 4k HDR TV.

Sometimes the HDMI signal is lost intermittently. Once this starts happening I have to restart the system and TV to stop it from happening.

I have tried changing video settings on the Xbox One X. If I try to set HDMI manual instead of Automatic the system basically doesn't recognise my TV and won't do 4k or HDR (even though I can enable 4k). It sticks to 1080p. If I set it to Automatic my TV
ticks all the boxes in the info panel.

I've tried enabling/disabling ycc 4.2.2 but it makes no difference either.

It doesn't seem to be the TV. My PS4 Pro has no similar issues. Changing the cable hasn't helped either.

I am at a loss as to what else I can try? I don't know if this is a hardware issue or something that will be resolved with a patch.

    :)

  2. Xbox One X losing hdmi signal

Hello i was wondering if the xbox one x losing hdmi signal is a common problem and how i can fix it. I'm using hdmi cable that came with xbox one x and it will intermittently just lose signal instantly. If i reset xbox or pull cable out and put back in
signal will come back. Very annoying and my fear is it will get worse.

    ARC and 4K

I guess I’ll start with the setup.

Devices: XBox One X, Denon AVR X1300W receiver, and Sony Bravia X900E

Wires are connected: Xbox—>Denon—> TV (Through HDMI 3 ARC) all HDMI are cables are hdcp2.2

When I turn on 4K in the display setting in my Xbox, my tv loses picture signal. When I put the Xbox Back to 1080p I get a picture signal back. If I use the Non-ARC input and switch it to 4K, I don’t lose any signal. I’m trying to get some feedback on is
this a ARC not being able to coexist with HDR issue? Any feedback is appreciated.

I had this problem too. Make sure you are plugged into the right HDMI port. On Sony TVs only one or two are HDMI 2.1/HDCP 2.2 compliant. So you need to go into your TV settings and change your inputs into “HDMI Enhanced format”. That should also let you
    know which ones are compatible

  6. Done all that already. My TV ticks all the boxes. Its a 2017 model Bravia. Ports 2 & 3 are HDCP 2.2 conpliant.

Yeah I have, otherwise I wouldn't be able to get 4k/HDR on either console. That is setting it into Enhanced mode, basically what the guy above said. Thanks though.

The issue is with the system software or hardware not outputting the 4k UHD signal properly when it is set to 4k UHD. If i set it to 1080p and leave 4k checked so that it switches automatically when running native 4k games it seems fine, at least so far anyway,
although it doesn't switch to 4k for every game that runs in 4k. I doubt it is the TV otherwise I would have the same issue with my PS4 Pro.

However i didn't spend the better part of £650 on a TV and £450 on a console to play in 1080p.

Same issue here with my LG OLED B6. I am running it through an Onkyo TX-NR555, though. I don't have any problems with my PS4 Pro HDR handshaking, though. It seems to be Xbox One X specific, and it happens with my by consoles (my wife has one too so I
tested it, and both are in the latest alpha preview).

  11. If I set the Xbox One X to 1080p it runs fine. It seems specific to running in 4k. It won't even get a signal in 4k anymore. I have to uncheck 4k otherwise it loses signal when trying to change reslolution for a 4k game.

I have a replacement coming from Amazon tomorrow. If that does the same then it's going back for a refund and I'm done with it all.

I changed the colour settings from 12 bit to 10 bit and that seems to have solved the problem for me
