Xbox one x I think modern warfare caused failure

Hi

My one x has given up. Ive had it 2 years and had a year and a half with it running beautifully. Then modern warfare come out causing my console to crash mid games. After it happened crashing 3 times in 10 mins i thought to myself that this cant be good
for the console so i left that game till they fixed it. Since then, my xbox has not been running right. Having to do resets Once a week then became an every day thing and it just shuts down every so often and its got more and more frequent as times gone by.

Today, i think its [Mod Removed - Profanity] itself, it switches on but the power button is dimly lit, then after a minute or 2 it powers itself down. Ive tried leaving it over night, hold power button, changed power lead, changed hdmi cable.
Its in a well ventilated area in a cool place not far from the window that i leave open for cooler air and i clean the dust off as much as possible so i know its not me.

could modern warfare of officially broken my xbox?have other people had same issue?

it just doesnt seem right and now ive got a one x that lasted no time at all and my day one edition is still going strong as back up, seems crazy!!

COD Modern Warfare is causing fatal windows registry errors (E100,E101,E102 etc) and causing xbox one x’s to completely fail. I already had to buy a new xbox one x due to cod MW. Unless you have $350 to buy a new xbox play MW cautiously. I haven’t heard
of MW causing any fatal issues with Xbox one S only the X. Hopefully, after many more complaints activision will start compensating players that had their xbox one x’s destroyed because of MW. Another friend of mine had his xbox one x destroyed today due to
COD MW. This is completely ridicolous that activision does not admit responsibility for costing people so much money. If MW has caused your Xbox X to become a paperweight please post about your issue so hopefully activision will address this.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with your console not performing as intended.

At this point, If you haven't already, I would have to recommend that you perform a full

factory reset on your console. Keep in mind that this will remove all of your games and apps and accounts, as well as any Home Xbox associations.

This can be done by following these simple steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select System > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? screen, select Reset and remove everything.

If this does not help improve the performance of your console, I would have to recommend that create a Service Order for you device by using the link provided by Xbox Forums Ambassador NaZoooom.

Hey there, in addition to steps already mentioned, I would definitely try if you can (I say try because I don’t know how many games you have on your hard drive) to do a complete factory reset of your console and then reinstall your games with the exception
of modern warfare and see what happens.

Is it a fast solution? Absolutely not but I would consider it a good thorough step before possibly having to send your system out for repair

I always do a full shutdown and switch plug off at night so xbox isnt always on standby found this made mine last longer
