Xbox One X headset audio stutter / popping

I have a new Xbox One X, maybe a had it for a few months replacing my Year One Edition Xbox One. The old Xbox One had no audio stuttering issues with my Phantom Black Xbox Controller and Corsair HS60 Pro headset. I am having horrible audio stutter and
popping while using my headset. I've power cycled, waiting sixty seconds before reconnecting power. Changing from uncompressed stereo to windows sonic for headphones and vice versa. Power cycling the controller. Unplugging and reconnecting the headphones.
Etc. The only thing that helps is reestablishing the wireless connection to the controller. Even with that, popping is semi frequent, maybe every 5-10 seconds. I have to use my headphones because of noise restrictions, and this is sorta absurd that the newer
console is having issues when my original Xbox never had any. Corsair listed the Xbox one as a compatible console and was with my old one. If anyone can help if there is some sort of driver that can be loaded on I would be grateful. Otherwise I'll have to
warranty exchange this thing

I appreciate your time in responding. Unfortunately, I have done this already, the issue is not with the headset. I have tried other headsets in my possession, the issue persists and must be with the console output to the controller. The same controller
and headset work perfectly with my Year One Xbox One console.

Another thing you can also try is to see if the headset has a firmware update.

Hello, cvopal. You may have a technical problem with your Corsair headset, but shall we try these troubleshooting steps.

On your Xbox One, go to Profile & system and click settings. Next, go to General and scroll over to volume & audio output. Go over to Headset audio and adjust the settings to match your Corsair headset.

I have the exact same issue, same headsets too. I bought the Turtle 600 gen 2 and had this issue, then bought the new Xbox Wireless Headset, hoping it'd work better, but it doesn't. Exact same symptoms -- playing a game like Gears 5 or Metro Exodus, with a Series X and the new controller, any cutscenes will have audio stuttering after 10-20 seconds. If I move the stick on the controller, the audio comes back... and then stutters again after 10-20 seconds. This is repeatable and consistent. Standard (release) Series X software, latest updates applied to controller and headsets.

It's a known problem since launch, lots of reports, and lots of comments that it's being fixed in a future software release. Clearly this hasn't been fixed yet. So, is there any workaround, other than connecting an old Xbox One controller? Does it matter which audio codec is used (I'm using Dolby Atmos)?

It's not local RF interference, I've minimised that too, and ensured I have line-of-sight to the Xbox. And given that it is clearly reproducible and directly relates to whether the Series X controller is being used, and doesn't matter which headset I use, it definitely seems like a Series X problem.
