Xbox One X HDMI Video output not working, Streaming to PC working fine.

Hardware: Xbox One X

Tested:

- Two Televisions

- Four HDMI ports tested between the two TV's

- Three HDMI cables including original that came with Xbox One X

- One TV has a little visual indicator that informed me that it is aware when the Xbox One X is powered on compared to powered off, even though it does not display any video.

Troubleshooting Attempted:

- Video Reset by holding down power and eject for 10 seconds for 2nd beep when powering on. This was successful.

- Toggled various Video output settings on the console to see if any of them would resolve issue.

Description:

The video on my Xbox One X is no longer working. I've detailed above what I have attempted so far.

I am able to use the Xbox Console Companion app to stream my Xbox One X dashboard to my computer, I can go into settings and adjust Video settings and output settings. So the console still "works" but as it cannot output natively to a display it is not functional.
This is how I was able to verify that the Video Reset was successful as it was set to 480p when streaming began.

How can I get my console to output video again?

The only thing I think i have left to try is a factory reset. But I'm hesitant to do that as if that does not resolve the issue I will no longer be able to stream from the device, which while isn't ideal is better than having a completely bricked console.

It definitely sounds like your console has a faulty hdmi port. Do you know if you're still within your warranty period? another thing to consider too is that gamestop is currently giving trade in credit for defective consoles at the same rate as working
ones.

I recently bought an XBOX One X and it worked fine for the first 6 months. I turned it on last week and the HDMI output is not working anymore.

One other thing, video playback on the PS3 works perfectly fine connected through HDMI to the receiver. No output errors whatsoever. That pretty much rules out any problems having to do with the receiver or cables or tv.

Thank you for replying. We both have our own accounts. And both accounts work fine on his xbox. Neither account works for mine. We are both using an Xbox One X. But while most things don’t work on mine, a few select games will, and all video streaming is fine.
