1. xbox one x hdmi port problems

I recently had some problems with my Xbox one x. I played it for a couple hours last night then shut it off and went to bed. the next morning i had the day off from work so i went to turn it on and play and got just a black screen, from then i tried hooking
it up to another TV and same result. I went to Walmart to get a new HDMI cable and replaced the cable with a brand new one but that didn't work either. i called Xbox customer service and they walked me through the troubleshooting procedure. we hard restarted
the Xbox. then we tried to hold the controller connect and power button at the same time and that didn't work. But when we tried the HDMI reset (holding all 3 buttons on the front of the Xbox at the same time) it would show the home screen in blue static but
would also cut in and out every for 5 seconds, so they told me it is most likely an internal problem or board problem and has to be sent to them to be fixed or replaced. This Xbox was purchased on 1/26/28 brand new and unfortunately only has a 1 year warranty
so it is not covered. has anyone had issues like this with their HDMI port? and is this common to happen to an Xbox after a year and a half? it sits on a shelf next to my TV and never really moves.

    :)

Hi, meinen Deutsch ist nicht gut viel kann hilfst du. Your HDMI cable has to be plugged in all the way and also make sure it is in the correct port on your xbox one X, I had the same problem with the sound and ended up switching hdmi ports on my xbox one
    x. As for your game issues I can't help much with that.

So o can connect the hdmi 2.1 to a regular 4 k 2.0 hdmi port but I will not get the full experience or
there will be like some xbox series xs that have different cables.
No, The Xbox Series X has a HDMI 2.1 port therefore it will always ship with a HDMI 2.1 cable,

"So o can connect the hdmi 2.1 to a regular 4 k 2.0 hdmi port but I will not get the full experience or there will be like some xbox series xs that have different cables."

Yes, you can connect a HDMI 2.1 cable to a HDMI 2.0 port on your TV, you'll just be limited to 4K at 60hz, which is no different to what it like to play on the Xbox One X right now,

Xbox Console HDMI PortHDMI CableTV HDMI Port

Xbox One X, HDMI 2.0HDMI 2.0HDMI 2.0 = 4K at 60hz

Xbox One X, HDMI 2.0HDMI 2.0HDMI 1.4 = 4K at 24hz to 30hz

As long as you have HDMI 2.0 port on your TV you'll be fine to use the Xbox Series X, but if your wanting to experience 4K at 120hz, you'll need a TV or Gaming monitor that has HDMI 2.1 ports.

Hi drunkendounut this issue also happening to my system my system is brand new purchased it in December of last year not even a-year-old yet and has happened to me on several occasions what it is is the system is overheating and that wiring to the HDMI
port is too thin so it’s it’s too hot to process the signal if you put it in a better circulated area where it can get a better airflow usually the situation does not happen again my currently it has just happened to my system tonight so tomorrow morning I
will tryIt again and if it does not work then I will send it in for repairs

    Hello there DrunkenDonut007,

Sorry to hear you have been experiencing these issues with the console, this is not something that happens frequently with the consoles but I am sure there is a few other cases out there in which others have run into similar problems. Just as with many electronics
we may run into some issues from time to time but the problems you have run into are not a common occurrence with the console.

    I hope this helps.
