Xbox One X HDMI Port Issue

I have an Xbox One X still under Warranty last month it started flickering. The tv would go blank for a few seconds then come back on. After awhile it gor worse and worse. I switched tvs and Cables but still the same issue. Finally it went out completely.
The power was on but no sound or picture. No signal. I sent it in to Xbox repair under warranty. 3 weeks later i got a different one back. Set it up, updated it and it started to flicker again. Also green and white particles. All over the screen. I know its
not the cable because the cable box works, my old xbox one works on that same tv and hdmi cable.

I have a 3 month old 65” Samsung NU8000, with Securomax 4k hdmi 2.0 ready cable running to xbox one x. I have now set to send it back again. Anyone have this same issue and could a cable keep screwing up the xbox? Eventhough everything else is running good
with that same cable.

Hi,

Not all TV's support HDR on all HDMI connections.

On my Sony Bravia 4K TV, only two out of the four support HDR even though they all support 4K resolution.

This could very well be the issue,

I have a Samsung 4K HDR TV, with 4 HDMI 2.0 ports, but only one of my port's supports HDR, ( HDMI 1 ),

If i want to use to my PS4pro with HDR, i have it in HDMI 1, but then if i want to use my Xbox One X with HDR, i have to swap my HDMI cable's around, so that my Xbox One X is now in HDMI 1,

Best check the TV's manual to find out which HDMI port uses HDR,

Or try connect the Xbox One X into the HDMI port where you're PS4pro is, and see if HDR then works.

Hi, meinen Deutsch ist nicht gut viel kann hilfst du. Your HDMI cable has to be plugged in all the way and also make sure it is in the correct port on your xbox one X, I had the same problem with the sound and ended up switching hdmi ports on my xbox one
x. As for your game issues I can't help much with that.

I used the HDMI 2.1 port when i did my PC testing. I even tried different HDMI cables.

The issue is the Xbox One X system. Im wondering if Microsoft is able to fix that with a patch or softwarw update.

Doing some research, it seems the One X uses HDMI 2.0 which might be the issue. Im just concerned if I will have this same issue with the Series S/X that i pre-ordered.

I have another TV, but it was damaged in a house fire a few years ago. I think the HDMI ports have issues sometimes. I have tried the other inputs on the current TV with no issues so far. It looks like it is down to the XBox One, the HDMI cable for
it, or the specific HDMI port it is connected to. I will test the other ports more and I have ordered a replacement HDMI cable. I just have to wait for it to arrive. I am planning on getting an XBox One X, but can't afford that just yet.
