    Xbox one X HDMI connection


    So,. I recently bought a Samsung 65" 4k UHD tv (65RU740D from Costco) and i just hooked my xbox one x up to it today. We have an HDMI cable routed through the wall to connect without seeing visible cables, i have tested this HDMI connection with a Chromecast,
    and a Samsung blue ray player with no issues. I connect my xbox to the wall connection and at first the tv detected it, but said i need to turn it on, so i re started everything and it detected it again, but said the device needed to be connected again.

    After a few tries, I just hooked up directly to the tv with the provided Xbox HDMI cable, and bypassed the cable i had mounted in th wall and it worked perfectly.

    Could it be the cable connections?

    In the first setup it was Xbox to wall hdmi, then wall hdmi to tv (3 HDMI cables in total)

    Whereas the other is just one cable.

    Am i going to be stuck not being able to use the cable I routed in the wall?

    Hi, on the Xbox One X as with all of the Xbox One range, there are two HDMI connections. One is an HDMI-Out and one is an HDMI-In. You will see next the HDMI connector a label describing what HDMI it is. You connect the included 4K HDMI cable to the HDMI-Out
    to display the console on your TV. The HDMI-In is optional. It can be used to connect a Cable or Satellite receiver to your console.

    Xbox one x and yes it is connected to HDMI 1 which supports HDCP 2.2.

    As long as your TV supports HDMI connections with a minimum resolution of 720p, you'll be fine. If it does not, you will have a problem, as Xbox One consoles (first-gen, Xbox One S and Xbox One X) all require HDMI connections and that minimum resolution.

    Xbox One X can do the Supersamplig. It can be used on any screen with a HDMI connection.

    yeah. cause I connected my comcast cable box to my xbox one X pass through HDMI.

    I have a ps4 but I'll just connect the ps4 to my xbox one X so I can get a 4k picture on my PS4 slim and the Sound bar is connected to the xbox one x.
