Xbox One X HDD Storage

Hey i was wondering if there some sort of restriction to how many media files you can put on the standard 1tb Xbox One X HDD, i can fill it with game data, yet if i have say 200gb of free space, then plug in a usb, try and move the files from usb to Xbox
and it says there is not enough space on HDD, can only store about 10 movies at 300mb each.

is this a Microsoft restriction or a bug?

Try this :

Settings , Storage , Highlight your HDD , press RB + LB + X , again RB + LB + X

Confirm delete update parts ... Then reboot your Xbox

Connect to Xbox live to get the update.

Actually that depends on the capacity of your external storage not any restriction from MS. I suggest you to format that storage and try this process again.

 

Before posting this, i deeply scanned online forums, videos and the MS support section. I have repeatedly tried hard resetting, formatting both the console HDD and the USB itself. Nothing seems to fix the fact that when trying to move more than say 16gb
of items to the Xbox's internal storage, despite formatting and keeping copious amounts of space clear. This is an issue ontop of the already never clearing, freezing loading screens and unable to open apps whenever clicking a Install for a game or app. I
purchased the Pne x after wanting better performance and being satisfied yet underwhelmed by the lack of power, so spending the extra money i upgraded to a One X and have had buggyness and laggyness since that almost outway the perks of the more powerful console.
Surely these would of been as closely addressed as possible prior to releasing a newer version of a console. shsnibstall

i'm not in dept on this topic...

But if you have 200Gb free space, and you had ther just movies... if it allows you to transfer just 10 movies for an ammount of 3Gb it seems, at least to me, like a restriction!

I don't think is a bug this time...
