Xbox One X has turned sluggish and slow

Hi, ive already performed a factory reset whereby choosing to keep game and app data. And no im not signed upto insider.

Its pretty strange

As with any computer there tends to be the greatest enemy of them all and that is heat. Over time the heat can slow the computer down, which the XBox is.

Do you have adequate flow of air around the console?

Is it in a cabinet or sitting on top with open air ventilation?

Have you checked to see if there is a build up of dust on the inlet ports for the air flow and tried to blow it off with can air?

I had an issue with mine sitting on a shelf that was under the TV and I was having issues and put a small fan I would turn on if I was going to be gaming for a while to move more clean cooler air in to help until I moved the unit to my desk.

Just a few thoughts seeing as you have moved your games to an external HD?

Its dust free...i hoovered all around the outside clearing the vents about a week ago and its also sitting on a tv and video shelfing corner unit. The console itself is on the bottom shelf with plenty of room in front/back/ both sides (ive learnt to use
adequate breathing space from the mistakes of a red hot 360 lol).

Yes all the games are saved on an official external drive

The maverick blows. Slow firing and ads. Put a suppressor and now it has less damage to go with its sluggish fire power.
