    Xbox one X hardware issues


    recently, my Xbox One X has run into issues where all of a sudden while using it, games and apps will stop loading entirely, and attempting a power cycle results in the console not turning off at all, or being stuck on a boot screen for upwards of 20 minutes.

    This issue has gotten worse, now with the console booting to a black screen multiple times, or with the xbox guide not functioning at all and being unresponsive a best and fully frozen at worst.

    Is this an issue with the OS that can be fixed with a factory reset, or is there another solution? These issues started after downloading and playing cyberpunk 2077, for only about two hours, before it was never launched again, and that was the only thing
    that changed.

    In case you didn't try it, could be nice perform an offline update for your console. In that way Xbox system will be installed from scratch.
    For this you need a USB and PC to format it and transfer files provided in the link below (with steps):

    If you already tried the offline update, I'm thinking that can be an issue caused with your internal HDD, this can cause the slow booting and freeze issues with games and the system in general

    Worth giving it a try changing the HDD for another first

    Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to handle this kind of problem I can totally understand how this could be pretty discouraging for your friend. Your friend should see if they can get their console

    factory reset.

    If that does not do the trick, then have them try going to the
    device support page    . They should be able to see their warranty status as well as the price for an out of warranty repair.

    When you get the chance, check out those steps and pages and let us know if that helped.

    It was brand new, which is the main problem considering the console itself wasn't even 2 months old when it started happening
