Xbox One X Green Scanlines

    Xbox One X Green Scanlines


    Hi All,

    Wondering if anyone has experience with this issue. My Xbox One X has got these green scanline/artifacts extremely similar to this video here:



    I had this before in January and I sent it off for repair, it came back okay but now has started doing it again. I've tried resetting the console, power cycles, boot in low res mode etc the works.

    Any one got experience with this issue as well? From what I can tell it's not awfully common.

    When I turn on my xbox one the screen just stay green

    When I turn on my xbox one the screen just stay green and says "x box one"

    but never goes to the main menu

    Green tint on the xbox one x home screen

    Xbox one x froze so i turned it off at the wall now i have a Green yellow tint just on the xbox one x home screen and when playing youtube , games and Netflix are fine once they start up. if anyone has a fix please share

    Did you try it on a different tv?

    If you sent it away to get fixed and it started doing it again than at least they gave you the same console back. Usually they give you someone else’s refurbished console. It can be scratched and have boogies on it.

    I would send it back in for a repair if it does it on a different tv or monitor. I know it’s not ideal but that’s what I would do.

    Hi there,

    have you tried to see what happens when connecting the console to a different TV/Monitor also check if using a different HDMI cable changes anything. These steps will result in being able to determine what is causing the issue.

    If changing TV/Monitor or HDMI cable don't make any difference then I suggest setting up a repair request again or perhaps contact Xbox Support (via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at
    Contact Us | Xbox Support) first to see if they have any additional steps to try.

    Yeah same issue.

    Also can't sent it back in for repair because it's out of warranty. Otherwise i would.

    Further point, how is my Xbox One X which only came out in november, out of warranty???? We're supposed to get a year..

    XSX: Turning on/off TV using Console not working

    Same issue since day one release. I have yet to get this to work with my Series X. I just shipped my Series X back today for GPU failure.

    This feature still works fine with my Xbox One X Scorpio Edition.

    Also on your Samsung TV, did your input change from the green Xbox to the blue generic "Game Console"? Mine did as if the TV does not recognize the device as an Xbox console. I can switch it out with my Xbox One X and the input icon changes back to the green Xbox.

    Microsoft haven't said it is. I believe the green Xbox One startup screen will stay, and the Xbox Series X/S will get the new Xbox boot up screen.
