Xbox one X - Graphics and Rendering issue.

Hello All,

I have owned my Xbox one X for about 4 months now and have been loving it so far. But within the last 2 weeks I've noticed issues with graphics and rendering in games like Assassins creed odyssey, COD black ops 4, And BFV. I'm not sure if i should take
it in and have MS look at it or if I'm just being paranoid that something is wrong with the GPU. I did have it plugged into a surge protector for most the time until i read that you should not do that.

Some of the lines on the edge of certain objects (not all) flicker white , Character models and textures take more time than usual to render when customizing characters or starting a match. Also seen some weird weapon artifacting in BFV.

I have tried different HDMI cords / ports on TV, Playing the games on an external HDD other than the internal HDD, on a different TV, Tried playing in 1080 instead of 4k, And did a soft console reset. I am also wired into my router and have top tier internet.

So what do you think? Anyone else have any issues with the mentioned games? Or Should i just go into my local MS store and have them take a look at it?

If they do look at it and find something will MS replace it?

As with the Xbox One X, games that are Enhanced for this specific console will be rendered in 4K, and then downscaled to 1080p, which will result in much smoother and better looking graphics than "directly" rendered 1080p.

So with the Series X you would get the best 1080p graphics.

If you think that your xbox is not working correct on the hardware you can go to the my devices page on your account and set it up for an repair. If there is an error with it and you have the warranty on your console you will get it repaired or replaced.

You have done a very thorough trouble shooting process!

All other variables have been tested leaving your Xbox to be the possible culprit.

I would take it into Microsoft for a service/repair or into your city store. It is also under warranty (I'm not sure on your country but I know in mine its minimum 1 year warrant) but double check that and get the problem sorted. Hopefully they find something.

Ventilation is number one, but it is possible that the xbox one s renders the game this way. It is very graphical intensive.
