Games with gold without an Xbox One

I've currently got an Xbox 360 and never had an Live Gold account as I'm not too into online gaming. However, I've recently decided I will be getting an Xbox One X on Black Friday sales (hopefully I'll get a sweet deal) and while I've been researching all the things, I've just learnt about the whole Games with Gold. (yeah yeah...I know, I've been living under a rock and this totally flew by me). Anyway, after countless tears over some of the awesome games I've missed out of the years, I've purchased some Xbox Live Gold codes and will be downloading the current 360 game available (Assassin's Creed). I also really want to get Victor Vran which is the current game on Xbox One. Is there anyway, I can claim the free game to my Live account before I get my Xbox One? That game is available until 15th Nov but I won't get my One X until after that.

If there's a way to add it to claim the game to my account without the console then that's awesome. If not, then is there a way around it such as signing into my account from a friends Xbox One, claiming the game and then signing out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

First time use/setup

Hi. I've bought a day one edition for my boys a surprise for Xmas but not had a chance to test it yet. Because one of my lads already has a 360 in his room with his own gold account, I am going to set up the xbox One with his as the primary account fir the gold access as that way we can use the same gold account on his 360 and the shared Xbox one.

However, if I set the Xbox one up late one night presumably I will have to add the primary/gold account that it will use (I.e my son's) as part of the initial set up . Then I'll try it with one of the games. So by doing this, when he next uses his 360 will he see that his account had been used on an Xbox one? Obviously I don't want him to suspect there is an Xbox one in the house!!!

your account's membership really move with your microsoft account. so it is incorrect to say xbox one gold account, it will indeed move across devices if that's what you're asking.

I'm curious to know if the Home Console features and game sharing will work between the XB1X and the current XB1 consoles. My wife and I game share, but can't afford to replace both consoles at once so I'm hoping we can still game share with one of us on
the new console and one of us on the older one.

Your xbox/microsoft isnt restricted to one device. it is stored and backed up, on microsoft servers. so you can use it on xbox three sixty, xbox one xbox one s and xbox one x and on your android or iphone and windows 10 pc. this is the most comprehensive

Elaborating slightly: None of our family accounts on the same xbox aside from mine have xbox live gold (ultimate in my case). Previously on xbox one x, for instance, my wifes xbox account, she would sign into MWF3 360, go to live and join games. Now on
xbox series X, same exact steps, it throws the error. You could always play under other accounts as long as one account was a live paid account (360 or regular xbox one x titles), now it only works for one x or one x series x titles.

We have 2 Xbox One's in our house, A model S and a model X.

I am the parent account of my 2 kids accounts. Boy and Girl.

The Boy has an active Xbox gold subscription and his home Xbox is the Model X.

When Girl logs into the Model X with her Xbox Account (not gold) she should get the benefits of Son's Gold account on his home Xbox (model X).

When Girl signs on to the model X she get's prompted to join gold. She cannot join a party or multiplayer game with her friends, it says she needs a Gold account. It does not give her the message that she is not allowed due to restrictions. It used to before
I turned off the settings, now it says that she needs gold.

I have gone to my xbox account and set all the privacy and content filters on bot Boy and Girl's to off.

I have also modified all the parental settings on the Xbox's to off for Boy and Girl.

I have removed her profile from the Xbox and added it back.

She still cannot get the benefits of Boy's Gold account on his home Xbox.

I tried to contact support but I just get a recorded message over and over about going to a help page on xbox.com that doesn't exist.

Boy saved up a bunch of his money and did alot of chores so he and his sister can play together and with friends. Any help would be appreciated.

When I setup his xbox x with his same account his gametag had ultimate subscription the rest of his gold pass was put on my gametag on the xbox x. Okay. So you ask about two different scenarios. I'm going to try to get some clarification and see if we can make it work.

Scenario 1: Two separate accounts (I'm assuming both Silver accounts) try to play the same game together online while a
third account is the one that has Xbox Live Gold.

Scenario 2: One of the two accounts trying to play together has Xbox Live Gold and while the other is a Silver account.

For simplicity's sake, let's call the Accounts in question "A", "B", and "G" (for Gold - this is obviously the account that has an active Xbox Live Gold subscription). We'll call the consoles in question X and Y.

In the case of Scenario 2:

Account G would set their home console to console Y. They would then sign into console X using account G while Account A would sign into console Y. So:

Gold account signs into Console X

Silver account signs into Console Y

**Console Y is set to the
"Home" console for the Gold account**

In the case of Scenario 1:

This should work similarly to what I outlined above. The Gold account will still set one console as home. The difference in this case being that the account with Gold will also have to be signed into the console in the background while the two Silver
accounts can play.

I know that's about as clear as mud but let me know if that helps any. In the end, it may be easier to buy an Xbox Live Gold subscription for one of the Silver accounts (that assumes there's 3 accounts in question here, not two) as it will result in many
less headaches but let's see if we can sort it first.

My xbox gold account's home xbox is the model S. This lets my Son play the games I have purchased.

I use the model X signed in as my gold account. This is my Son's home xbox.

My son uses the model S signed in as his gold account, this is MY home xbox

My daughter tries to sign into the model X (my son's home xbox who has a valid gold account) and it says she needs gold to play online or join a party etc. She should have access to gold because this is my son's home xbox who has an active gold subscription.

XBOX ONE X Gold Account.
