Xbox One X (GEARS EDITION) display issues

Hi,

I have a Xbox One X (GEARS EDITION), the display does not work in anything more then 640x480 i try to do a soft reset following the steps but now it dosent show a image at all?

It worked fine now all of a sudden it doesn’t show anything.....

i have tried to change cables even plugged it into another tv but still no more then 640x480..... i looked at 4K support and my tv definitely supports 4K, i know this because it worked before and has all green ticks when looking at support.

the console is 9 months old and didn’t give me any problems untill now,

(there is now no display at all after soft reset)

what do you recommend?

sounds like a technical issue however make sure exactly what the resolution is for the tv etc then match that with the xbox. Some tvs say they are 4k but some are 4k compatible I have that version and i have no issues but my tv and yours may be completely
different of course. You can send the xbox in for repairs however i would not in that case. But the choice is entirely up to you. I would need more info on the tv etc

Appreciate the response, ive requested a service now as i finally managed to speak to someone and they have said it needs sending in, they found the problem to be a hardware issue

I have used the same TV with my xbox since I got it and it was fine, working perfectly until it wasn't. We checked the TV settings and even tried switching TV's and xbox's. (my partner has the same xbox also) The problem defiantly was my xbox

Hey Ricky,

I just had the same thing happen with my Gears Xbox. My Xbox would black screen and then flash off an on non stop.

I tried everything, after the factory reset it kinda just died and stopped working, nothing but a black screen.

I called Microsoft and they asked for me to send it in, it's still under warranty. Maybe you should do the same?
