    Xbox One X Gears Edition; cooling fan issues


    My fan is an indecisive female that can’t choose if she wants to be heard full blast or just hum a tune. There are points in time when the fan speed quickly differs within a matter of seconds going from full blast to barely auditable to full blast again. Xbox is set in the open on my tv stand so it gets plenty of airflow. I usually keep it on quick start up but I do fully turn it off for long periods of time when I know I’m not going to be using it. I’m almost 90% sure it’s due to optimization and being on Skip Ahead compared to a Public Release Build. Just thought I’d let the devs know, didn’t think it posed an issue to warrant a bug report but if you’d like I can submit one as well

    Like others have said, what your suggesting could be done by button mapping on the elite controller. But it's a cool idea and maybe it could be a "special edition" controller geared towards racing game fans.

    Hi, that mark is exactly in line with the cooling fan and heatsink inside the Xbox, my Scorpio edition has the same mark and it’s due purely to heat.

    I noticed this too since playing RDR2 along with my X also making more fan noise than with any other game.

    Ensure your xbox is placed in a ventilated area.Clean up dusts.

    It is generic as internal fan runs at higher speeds to compensate heat dissipation.
