Xbox One X Gears 5 limited edition game code redeem issue

Hello community,

I recently bought a Xbox One X Gears 5 limited edition in Japan and ran into game code redeem issue.

Typed in Gears 5 and Gears 4 game codes and received both games smoothly but I was unable to redeem Gears 1, 2 and 3.

It kept showing the following message:

"You can’t acquire this item in your currently selected language. Change your language region in Settings or go to microsoft.com//redeem."

I have tried redeeming following the url, directly on the Xbox, through Windows 10 Microsoft store and Xbox console companion but all resulted in the same outcome.

Granted I am not original from Japan but am working here indefinitely, I have also transferred my account to Japan from my original country in Oceania to see if it works but to no success.

What else can I do? Contact the customer service directly?

How do I get the Gears 5 Ice Kait and Ice Jack skin? I pre-order and picked up the Gears 5 Limited Edition Xbox One X console, but I didn't get the DLC code with my console and game.

The Code for Gears 5 Ultimate edition and Gears of war 4 that came with the limited edition console gives you the the Ice skins

I might be a bit biased with my LOVE of the Gears of War series, but I definitely vote the Gears 5 Limited Edition console. The console is absolutely stunning gorgeous and the limited edition controller it comes with matches perfectly. Additionally, you
get essentially 5 games as well as a cool skin to use with Kait in Gears 5!

With those games it's a region issue. 1 and 3 are region locked. 2 typically isn't, but doesn't appear to be available in Japan so it may not work. But in order to download region locked content, your account region and your physical location have to match.
You'll want to check your account information at http://account.microsoft.com to make sure your information is correct. Try re-entering your information even if it is correct. If it
still doesn't work, you'll want to migrate your account region (even if your information is correct). Occasionally the 360 side will not recognize a region change. http://live.xbox.com/accountmigration
