Xbox One X games crashing - server connectivity and update issues maybe?

First off, please read the entire post before responding.

Secondly, please only respond with an obscure fix or idea. I've had this issue for a couple months now and I've tried almost every combination of every fix I have found on every forum available. I believe there is a fix for this that doesn't entail me sending
my XB1X physically in to Microsoft.

That being said, here's what's going on...please pay close attention.

I believe the issue is when I start a game that tries to connect to a server INSIDE that game, whether it's a game like Fortnite or Warzone, it will crash and kick me to home. It also happens with games like Witcher 3, which sometimes loads and plays fine
for a few minutes but then crashes and kicks me when some attempt IN-GAME to connect to a server happens.

    Some background...

Everything else works fine. Connections are good, Wifi or wired. Subscriptions and connections are current and fine, both Xbox live gold and Game Pass. I can see friends, chat, download anything and all install fine. Hardware and setup is fine. XB1X is clean
and well ventilated so there are no overheating problems.

Smaller games work fine and never crash, i.e. Death Squared. Disc-installed games work fine, i.e. Disney Infinity and Lego Marvel.

My original Xbox One works fine with everything. Same Xbox live and Game Pass accounts and no crashing issues.

I have tried different Xbox live accounts and it still crashes. I have done all the tricks from removing my account to reinstalling to factory settings to clearing the MAC address.

But, I got a new clue recently that makes me think it is definitely a software/network error...pay attention...I think somewhere in here lies the answer...

I tried a fresh OS install again, removing my account first, and chose the option to keep apps and games. I deleted and reinstalled Fortnite. To my surprise and delight, it loaded fine and played perfectly! I've wiped the whole harddrive before and it didn't
work, so I wasn't sure why now. I tried Warzone and THAT worked. Awesome, right?! Seems like the problem is resolved...

But I wouldn't be writing this lengthy post if all was well, now, would I?...

After a fun day of uninterrupted gaming while it snowed outside in May, we woke up yesterday to more snow, and the same darn crashing issues again. Fortnite and Warzone both. Bummer. So I fired up the old Xbox one for some Fortnite. When loading that, it
seems that there was a small update with a video celebrating the party event or something. So I'm thinking, I didn't see an update on my XB1X, so I went into manage game and updates. Nothing was showing available. Makes sense since I have automatic updates
turned on. So then I start trying to force an update. What I came up with was to sign out of my account, go to manage game, updates, and go to the Store. In the store for Fortnite, while not logged in, it shows that my game is installed and i can either Play
or 'Get'. I chose Get and i had to log in to my account. When I chose Play after logging in, it was about to load like normal (and I assume crash like normal) BUT, very quickly, it looked like from the store something was downloaded, taking maybe half a second,
but I could definitely see something was loading differently.

After that small series, Fortnite actually loaded! I saw the dance party video and got all the way into a game! I was barely off the bus and it crashed again, but this was NEW! A new clue!

So what does this mean? That's my question to you.

The hiccup seems to come somewhere in the triangle of my Xbox, Xbox live servers, and in-game servers. The new clue leads me to believe small game updates are corrupting something in there too.

Thanks for any fresh ideas. I'm getting close to see if running my XB1X over with my car will help. It would play some games just as well.

    Cheers

    :)

Xbox One X games crashing - server connectivity and update issues maybe?

Hi there. I'm afraid that many people are having the same connection issue. Its all due to high traffic volumes on the servers due to current situations. Most games and microfot have been working as best they can to do server fixes but the overall issue
is just too many people are on servers. Even services like netflix and youtube are experiencing simialr issues across all devices. There is no fix that I can think of that will help this till current situations are resolved. I hope this helped in some way
and I hope you are safe and well during these difficult times.

Games crashing on my Xbox One X

There are a few potential causes of the crashing issue you are experiencing on your Xbox One X:

    1. Corrupted game files: It's possible that the game files for the games that are crashing have become corrupted. You can try uninstalling and reinstalling the affected games to see if this resolves the issue.
    2. Insufficient storage space: If the internal storage of your Xbox One X is full or almost full, this can cause games to crash. You can try freeing up some space by uninstalling games or apps that you are not using.
    3. Network issues: If you are experiencing connectivity issues or a slow internet connection, this can cause games to crash. You can try troubleshooting your network connection by resetting your router and modem, or contacting your internet service provider for assistance.
    4. Hardware issues: In some cases, hardware issues such as a faulty hard drive or a malfunctioning cooling system can cause games to crash. If you have tried all of the above troubleshooting steps and the issue persists, it's possible that there may be a problem with the hardware of your Xbox One X. In this case, you may need to contact Xbox support or a professional repair technician for further assistance.

Xbox one x turns off trying to play 2k games

Make sure your xbox one x is well ventilated. Is this the only game you are having an issue with. Sometimes the servers of the gaming company is an issue they most likely come with a update possibly.

My Minecraft worlds are being blocked from me being able to play them…

If your Minecraft worlds are crashing, there could be a number of reasons, including connection issues, game errors, or incorrect settings. To troubleshoot the issue, try checking your game settings, updating your graphics card drivers, checking your network connection, and even reinstalling the game if necessary.

    Possible causes and solutions:

    Connection issues:

Check your network connection: Make sure your internet connection is stable and free of interference.

Check the status of the Minecraft servers: Check the Xbox status page to see if the servers are working properly.

    Game errors:

Check your game version: Make sure your game is updated to the latest version.

Verify the integrity of the game files: Use the game's verify or repair option, if available, to fix any potential file issues.

Reinstall the game: If the issues persist, try reinstalling the game.
