Xbox One X Freeze when game or app update

I bought my xbox one x this year and i noticed that xbox kind of freeze whenever there is an update for an app or a game. and what i mean by kind of freeze is app or games wont launch and will get an error saying that the app took to long to start. sometimes
some settings wont even start like going to network setting . And at the end, everything goes back to normal just when this app/game start downloading and i can see in the download feed the download speed. so the process before start downloading an App/Game
is the trigger point which is the process where the app/game is being verified and initiated.

your support guys is appreciated.

before i hard reset my xbox, think of other possible solution.

Slow and stuttering gameplay can be caused by a couple of things: having too many apps open at a time, having a big download or upload happening in the background and a number of other causes.

The only things you can do are as following:

1. Turn off the console and unplug it for 30 seconds (clears cache and turns all apps off)

2. A factory reset keeping games and apps may make things faster: Settings > System > Console Info & Updates > Reset console > "keep games and apps". (requires account redownload)

3. Turning game DVR off (this will prevent you from being able to "record that" with cortana/Xbox assistant

4. Try your games on an external hard drive https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/console/manage-storage

it freezes during first stage of downloading.. whether it is an update or new install. Enabling auto update or disabling it wont save the issue since it will happens eventually when i decide to download or update.

When you say freeze during an update, do you mean freeze while it's downloading or while/after it has installed? It might be an idea if you wish to have more control over it to turn off auto-updates, the difficulty there being that you'd have to manually
update the console & games which may give issues when trying to play games which then turn out to need an update. That would in essence give you the ability to say "OK so I wanna play games at 6pm but don't want to do anything at 10am, so I'll update at 10am"

Hi,

Press and HOLD 10 sec the powerbutton of the console when its happening, restart console and try again.

Could be an external hard drive so if you have one, unplug it and try to update some games/app from the internal one...
