Xbox One X for Red Dead Redemption 2 on a 1080P display?

Hi

I currently have the original Xbox one, and a 1080P (non hdr) TV.

I´m not buying a new 4K tv anytime soon.

In the meantime: Is it worth upgrading to Xbox one X? Will I notice any visual and performance benefits on Red Dead Redemption 2 on my 1080p tv?

I´ve registered that the original Xbox one only runs RDR2 at 860P or something resolution, with slow FPS sometimes.

Would a Xbox One X run the game in native 1080P, with better visuals and performance on my TV? It should, right?

the x still plays it in 4k, on a 1080p display it supersamples, so you are still getting the best picture plus the performance

The xbox one x will basically upscale to 4k, So you will get better graphics even on a 1080p tv over your current original xbox one console.

The game is capped at 30 frames so youre not going to see a massive frame difference between the vanilla One and the X (like 30-60 fps) but the X holds it at 30 where the older console varies. You’ll get a full 1080p image on the X as well as faster loading
times.

 

Yes, the performance will be the same as on a 4K TV.
