Xbox One X Fire! Am I entitled to anything?

I have a question in regards of what to do next after a situation occurred with my Xbox One X. I got this Xbox in December of 2018 and it has run as it should up until now. The only issue with it was that the cord Microsoft included with my Xbox must have been faulty as I could never fully get it to seat in the power port on my Xbox. I never thought much about it as it still managed to power my Xbox, so it was not replaced. This Wednesday, I wake up to a foul smell and heard a mixture of humming and cracking. After searching my entire room, I identify the source of the commotion as my back of my Xbox. As I approaching my Xbox, the area of which the power cord and console connecting started to spark and catch fire. I quickly disconnected the cord from the outlet to prevent further damage, but the fire had already done a lot of work (See in images below). I most likely don’t have any up to date warranty on this Xbox, so what’s my next step? Am I entitled to anything from Microsoft as this product was clearly defective or is the responsibility on me? Any advice helps.

the warranty covered by microsoft is one year, after this period the repair has a value to be charged, what I advise is to speak directly with support, in possession of the invoice for a final opinion on your problem.

on the Live status page you will find the support option, the name is online chat, the option to request a call is more time consuming and complicated, just try the online chat option.

Well no it's not compatjble

Xbox one games are not s or x

They are just one games

Series consoles are xbox series s/x no one in there

However if you got ultimate you should.look up EA dual .entitlement

Umm you got it in reverse

You have the xbox one disk version and the code is for the series consoles

That's how dual entitlement works

When you redeem a dual entitlement code it's fr the next gen version not PREVIOUS gen

Your DISK will work on any xbox one or series consoles Ala bc

For future reference any box disk labelled xbox always come in xbox one since there is no console requirmenrt

Series s x games come s/x on the xbox

Your digital game will be the series x or s depending on which one you have

Dual.entitlement is where you buy a xbox one disk from ea before the next release which would be 2023 and get a free next.gen upgraded code without the disc requirement and yes you can sell the xbox one copy once you redeem

But the dual entitlement code download won't work on xbox onw this is in place of smart delivery where ea controls the free upgrade for a limited time till the next release
