    Xbox one X faulty hdd


    So i bought an xbox one x from a store and they put there own warranty sticker on which was later removed due to Styrofoam in the box so warranty was apparently void, i have tried everything to get the xbox one x working its the bsod and my latest try
    is replacing the hdd for another one or an ssd the thing is i cant find the Os anywhere for the hdd can anyone help me or link on please

    sounds like a faulty cable or faulty hdd. is it a self powered or external powered hdd.

    If you can play games without the HDD is connected, then yes it is a faulty one. Return it if it is under warranty.

    Could be that the sudden change in current is causing a safety mechanism to kick in. Try unplugging everything and let it sit for a bit. Connect the xbox directly to the wall, plug in the ext hdd and then turn the xbox on. If it still shuts off the hdd
    is likely faulty or one of the cables you use.

    See if you can borrow a friend's HardDrive(HDD) and install it into your Xbox. If your Xbox loads properly, then you know your HDD is faulty. If it continues with your friend's HDD then you know it's the console itself.
