Xbox One X faulty after repair

Hello.

I recently sent my Xbox One X off for an in-warranty repair, due to the 'black screen of death' issue. I've just got it back (same device, wasn't exchanged).

Within 1 hour of being set back up, the same issue happened. I managed to rectify it this time with a reset of the graphical options. So I started trying to install my games again, and the first game attempted failed repeatedly to install, simply coming up with 'Installation Stopped' error over and over. This seemed to coincide with a full system freeze. So I did a factory reset, and started again. Same issue, games won't install, pausing at the same point every time.

So I looked up forums and saw that this is occasionally down to the console not being updated. I checked the system menu, and saw a 600~ mb update waiting, so I set it running, only for it not to complete. I ran this several times, with varying results. Sometimes it would pause mid download, sometimes it would complete the download and screw up in the verification stage. In all attempts, it ended with the message 'something went wrong'.

So I looked that up on the forums, and saw that this is also a common problem. Tried power cycles, another factory reset, no resolution. So I attempted an offline update with a freshly formatted memory card. Brought up the trouble shooting page on startup, put in the memory card, clicked 'offline update', and immediately got the 'something went wrong' error.

Now the damn machine won't budge from this screen. Factory resets, offline or otherwise, don't take. Everything results in this 'something went wrong' message.

So it looks like I need to pack it up, print out more shipping labels and customs receipts, drag it all the way to a UPS delivery spot, and then wait another few weeks.

This will be the 3rd time it's been sent off in 6 months. Now, that's pretty bad all by itself, but now I'm having an issue on the website to book the damned repair. I click the device, check the serial number's the right one, and I get the page to 'tell us about the problem'. First drop down box where I select the fault type only has the 'Accessory' option, despite being the page for an Xbox One X console. I can't click anything resembling the correct hardware fault, and frankly I don't trust Microsoft enough at this stage to even attempt to process yet another repair order without everything being accurate. Tried several browsers, same issue.

Can anyone offer any help with any part of this? I feel like every problem just leads to more problems.
