Xbox one X fans are loud when sitting in the main menu of certain games

My xbox one x is louder than usual when sitting in the main menu of certain games for about a month now. However, when i actually get into a match, then it goes back to normal (still audible but not as loud). Modern warfare specifically causes my xbox to
crash once i enter the main menu of mutliplayer, warzone, etc. The only way to prevent this is to open the guide before i load into the menu to prevent the fan from spinning up. The weird thing is, when the xbox crashes (without the guide open), the fan never
spins up. It immediately shuts off the xbox once i enter the menu. Once i turn my xbox back on, it pulls up the splash screen talking about proper ventilation and how it shuts off to prevent overheating. The fan and vents are perfectly clean and the xbox is
in an open spot with good air flow. I’ve never had this issue before and like i said, it started about a month ago. Any solutions or ideas?

also, dragon ball z kakarot is another game where this exact thing happened, except i was in a cutscene when it shut off.

When it's done nothing to warrant the fan at full speed then something is wrong.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to handle this situation. I can totally understand how this kind of thing could be pretty darn concerning, but hopefully we can provide some helpful info that leads to resolution of the problem. I suggest
giving the console a
factory reset, more specifically, the one denoted reset and keep my games & apps. This should clear the console of any problematic data that could keep it from meshing with the games that you're trying.

When you get the chance, give that a shot and let us know if that helped.

I get this from time to time, it depends on the game. I am also in the Xbox Insider Preview program and sometimes the beta builds do this more than normal. It has been more noticeable with the recent Xbox Insider Preview builds. Just ensure that you have
good airflow around the console.

I've had this on certain games myself, from what I've gathered it's nothing to worry about it's just working harder to keep the system cool.

I'm also in the preview Program if that helps or is relevant to your situation.
