Xbox one X fan on loud and overheating on Modern Warfare

Have you tried cleaning dust out of the fan area?

It's mainly the ventilation holes on the sides of the console that has dust accumulation.

After a full shutdown to reset the power supply, I use a vacuum cleaner to get rid of any dust while the console is disconnected from power.

It really shows up with a black console.

This isn't a problem from the Xbox One X it self it is more a problem of the game MW, since it is not very well optimized for any system and lets the fan speed up this is allnup tp the devs at Infinity Ward to fix that yet ibwould hope this will happen,
don't worry your xbox over all is fine and not broken in any way as i said it is because of popr opt. of the game it self.

Just be sure to not sink top much time at once intp the game so no damage happens to the hardware (yet therr are no reports that this ever happend till now)

That game is a console breaker. I am having problem too, on my S. Its fan is really loud when playing the game, but only MW. If i start and play any other game, it is ok.
