Xbox one x fails to connect to Xbox live on startup

There is no error code or message,

At start up and log in, the Xbox one x does connect to Xbox live, I have to go to settings, network (says all connected and open), select go offline, then select go online and the Xbox connects to Xbox live.

This has been happening for about a week. It's getting annoying.

This is a wired connection, I've swapped out ethernet cable and changed ports on the router, factory defaulted both Xbox and router and re set up.

Xbox One X Xbox Live Won't Always Connect

I have an Xbox One X that won't always connect to xbox live on startup. Sometimes it takes a minute or two to connect. Sometimes it takes longer and on a rare occasion it won't connect at all.

I have set a manual IP address and DNS, but it still suffers the same problem. It does this on wireless as well as wired.

Before I got the One X I had an original Xbox One which never had this problem.

So I recently got the new Xbox One X and ever since I've noticed that I have to reconnect to Xbox live after every startup. It won't let me connect to it manually through the Xbox I would have to disconnect my hard wire and reconnect it then I'll be connected
to Xbox Live. And it's like this every time I turn on my Xbox. How do I fix this?

 

did you try power cycling your xbox?

You can do this by holding down it's powerbutton for 10 seconds.

Retry afterwards.

 

Sorry to hear you've had this happen. This is a known issue that happens intermittently when starting from Instant On.

You can use the method you described or power cycle the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds till it shuts down.

Also, be sure to report it by holding the Guide button on the controller until you see the option to report a problem

 

Power reset didn't fix it, this is from energy saving mode, not instant on. I don't have the option to report via holding x button on controller,

So if power cycling didn't work, you might want to perform what we call a soft factory reset (a reset where you keep your games and apps). It should fix anything that could be affecting your console software wise.

Just make sure that you have the sign-info for any and all accounts that you value on the console, and that you have easy access to your internet so that everything goes without a hitch.

Tried that like 3 times, still same issue, also I've reset router to factory settings 3 times, still have to go offline and go online in network settings to get the console to connect to Xbox live.

I'm not the only one having this issue here in aust.

Hey there,

I looks like at this point troubleshooting steps are basically exhausted and the root cause that is causing the Xbox One X to not connect to Xbox Live on start up is something only licensed software engineers will be able to fix.

Since there are others with similar problems as well, including myself, it's more than likely something that happens to the console's hardware/software that causes it to do that. Generally if it happens to me, which is quite rare, a simple power cycle to
my router fixes the problem and the Xbox automatically connects.

Xbox Customer Support.

I would like you to try to clear alt mac address.

1. Go to settings>network>network settings>advanced settings>alt make address>clear and restart.

Clearing the Mac address didn't work.

I have since downloaded the Xbox insider app and have reported the issue there. I'll leave it at that for now.

 

If anything else isnt working you might have a faulty Xbox reach support to make a ticket for the warranty is ypur best bet here...
