Xbox One X Ethernet Port

Hello,

I have an Xbox one X and just got new internet service installed. My router is right next to my Xbox so WiFi works great. However, whenever I try to hard wire my Xbox it works for about 15 minutes before it disconnects me from all Xbox live services. It
reconnects fairly quickly but that doesn’t matter when you get kicked out of your game. I’ve tried different cords and Ports on my router and nothing else i hard wire has This issue.

Sorry you're having issues with your network adapter. Does the X work on wireless still? Can you plug a laptop or another device into the Ethernet cable to ensure it's working with that, and not a closed port or bad cable? If you find it's working with a
laptop or other wired network device using the same cable and port, I would suggest unplugging your Xbox One X from the wall, power cycling your router and/or switch, then powering the One X back up. Sometimes routers and switches shut off ports if it detects
a network storm or collision, and it could temporarily block a MAC.

Can you try these things? I can't believe that it is 'fried' as you put it:

1) Unplug the Ethernet cable

2) Do a full power down, unplug the power cable from the console and the wall outlet for around 10-30 seconds and then plug everything back in (preferably the cable to the console first then to the wall outlet)

3) Plug the Ethernet cable back in

4) Boot the console

5) Check your Network settings again / test Internet connection

Download: 179.97mbps

Upload: 5.76mbps

Packet loss: 0%

Latency: 15ms

MTU: 1480

 

Thanks for that info. Your network statistics are looking good. Were you able to give those steps in our random disconnection guide a try to see if they can help solve the issue?

If you're experiencing this issue with a wireless connection are you able to try a wired connection with an Ethernet cable for a more stable connection?
