Xbox One X Error code: 0x8B05000F 0x00000000 0x900B0007

Hello, I have a One X bought in 2018, maybe used once a week. I booted it up today, system wanted to do a 3.7gb update. Update will download completely, verify, but won't install. I tried this a few times to no avail. Error codes 0x8B05000F 0x00000000 0x900B0007.

Next I did a system reset as shown on a guide. But during initial set-up, same update won't push through. Will download and verify fine, but still won't apply the update. Same error codes even after the system reset.

Now I'm stuck since I can't access my Xbox without finishing the update first. I could do another system reset via USB, but I feel it's just going to display the same error codes. I read that you can also do an offline update via USB. But now I'm unsure
if an offline update will work if the Xbox hasn't even finished setting up.

Hoping for some solutions.

Sorry about that issue, sound like a bad previous update… I suggest you to make the offline method with a usb memory stick ( https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/console/system-updates-solution

Is it safe to do an offline update if the One X hasn't finished setting up? I did a system reset but couldn't finish the setup because of the failed update.

Yes its safe, and it will probably fix the error, if not, you will have to send the console for a repair process...

Just to update, I went ahead with the offline update after doing a system reset, and it updated successfully.

Hi,

Try the offline method to get a correct update of your system.

If its still not working, you probably have to send your Xbox one x to repair center.
