Xbox one x enhanced 1440p at 120htz display issues

Hi my XBOX 1 x enhanced use to display my game at 1440 and 120 htz, beautifully with no issue, but I don't know if it was an update or faulty hdmi cord, or my son did something to it, but now when I try to display at this resolution it either has pink little dots all over the screen and my speakers pop or the picture won't show up at all, my tv is a lg nano cell 65 inch which has hdmi deep color instant game response and AMD free sync technology....I really hope it's something simple but I feel like the xbox may be defective....please any and all advice is greatly valued.... thanks

Resetting the tv was the first thing I did and I've tried several hdmi cords, I went as far as buying a a 40 dollar hi speed hdmi cable, I have also tried the xbox on 2 other TVs which are do not have the capabilities of my lg nano cell, and its flickers on the other TVs which has me leaning towards the xbox having an issue, its displays fine at 4k 60hz on the nano cell but after seeing it in 1440 at 120 makes every other resolution look horrible and laggy....

For us to best isolate the issue, I suggest to reset your TV settings and make sure that it's set to automatically detect HDMI 2.1.

Trying a different HDMI Cable is also worth a shot.

Hi,

The Samsung NU8000 is a 4K UHD TV, you won't see 1440P on this display as it's not a supported resolution for this TV.

Even if 1440P (or 2,560 x 1,440) was supported, you won't get better performance on the One X as all enhanced games run at 4K regardless of what resolution is enabled in the options menu. It would only be down-scaled.

You're a little discombobulated there.

I can display 1440p ONLY at 144Hz, and cannot at 120Hz on Xbox. I can only display 1440p at 60Hz on Xbox one X.

Yes I can display 1440p at 60Hz with Freesync - Although 120Hz without Freesync would still technically be better but unfortunately that is not possible with the restrictions on Xbox one X.

I use 1440p @ 60Hz settings with Freesync and HDR with 32 bit color. I get a pretty damn good picture but I'm just a little upset I can't use the 120Hz feature.
