    Xbox one X E101 and E106 errors


    I have been trying to resolve this issue for a couple of weeks now but cannot find a solution anywhere.

    Here's what has happened so far:

    I had a perfectly working Xbox one x, and a non-working scorpio edition Xbox one x. The Scorpio edition had a bad fan, and was over heating so I replaced it, all good. It worked OK for a day, then I restored it to factory settings by removing everything. Thats when I started getting the Error E101, and E106 if I tried keeping the files. I assumed it was a bad HDD and fitted a new one. Still getting error E101 and E106.

    I thought maybe the new HDD was bad, so I removed the good HDD from my working Xbox one x and put it in the Scorpio edition one - same error codes coming up. I then put the new HDD in the old working Xbox and that is now giving me the same error codes E101 and E106. I swapped the HDD's back to original, and I cannot get either Xbox working now.

    Again I thought maybe my HDD's were bad, so I bought a new Seagate barracuda drive from Amazon, no difference in either machine! All I get is E101 and E106 - What the hell am I doing wrong??!

    I'm beginning to think maybe the OSU1 files are corrupted?

    Any advice I will gladly follow, but please no answers like "go to Microsoft Xbox site and follow instructions on there" - I have done that several times and for some reason this time it's not working at all. I have tried different USB sticks and ports, no difference.

    Thank you for your reply. We have done that and it goes right back to the error screen with with a new error code we have had e106 e102 e101. E101 is the last one we got after doing the offline update

    microsoft needs to make a tool to restore Xbox bios or backup (don't ignore me please)

    And how am I supposed to update my Xbox when it's in an infinite loop of errors E101 and E106 because the startup is damaged?

    Thanks, and what E101 again would mean? It also appeared.

    With E106 it appeared that 6% in Offline Recovery and then Error occured.
