Xbox One X Download/Install Problems

G'day!





I pre-ordered an Xbox One X and picked it up on release day.. set it up, went through the initial setup and thought I'd install a game.





I first tried to install Wolfenstein 2 from disc and was told I needed an update, so I proceeded with the update. The update never left 0% and eneded up solved the problem by disconnecting the Ethernet cable, restarting the
console, installing from disc with no update, restarting the console again, reconnecting Ethernet cable and then downloading the update.. so that seems like the problem was simply the same as on the previous Xbox One consoles.. or so I thought..





Since then I've had nothing but problems installing anything on my console, I get 0% downloads, "installation stopped" messages, or simply nothing at all, a blank DVD icon (no label) that when I select it I get taken to a Microsoft Store page that
says "The thing you're looking for isn't here".





So I thought I'd check the network settings, bit when I go into Settings > Network and try to select Network Settings the console freezes and I'm forced to hold the power button until it turns off (hate having to do that!), so I only ever tried going
to network settings once.





Now I find myself having to restart my console before I can download anything, then once its done I have to restart my console again before anything else works.. and that's not all the time, sometimes it just won't work for hours no matter how many
times I restart it or disconnect/reconnect the Ethernet cable..





I've also tried a ton of troubleshooting, even factory resetting my console and.. well.. its a very long story so I'll just leave it at that..





I've searched online and can't find any information about my problem, only information about similar problems that don't apply to me. So I'm here for two reasons:





1. If anyone else has this problem you are not the only one (I feel like I am at the moment).





2. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? I am open to pretty much anything St this point, however do keep in mind that I have tried a lot of troubleshooting already so the basic "turn it off and back on" stuff is not helpful to me.





I am an advanced computer user so just lay it on me with the ideas, no need to sweeten it up for me.





I'm hoping that this post can generate some good input into troubleshooting this and working out a solution other that replacing it.

installing is so screwed up!

Microsoft has very predictible and stable downloading and installs for the 360. Phil Spencer said Xbox One install problems are one of his highest priority issues to fix on the Xbox One. Question: with all of the software and hardware experience Microsoft has, how could they launch the One with install issues this severe and why hasn't it been fixed in an update.? Were almost a year in and people are still having problems with game installation.
