Xbox One X Dolby Atmos magically stopped working

*maybe* this "problem" is exactly how the Dolby Atmos App on Xbox One X works.

Dolby Atmos native content? perfect! Dolby Atmos playback.

No Dolby Atmos? the App upmix current audio track to Dolby Atmos (the headphones features works in this way).

I don't know if is intentional.

Thank you both for the reply. Im gonna try both suggestions. I should have thought about Atmos being a software issue since you need the Dolby app and the problem could originate from there. I will post my results.

So I'm getting rather fed up with the Xbox and its continuing problems random issues constantly occuring.

I Installed Dolby Atmos in my home theater the other day and the amp ( Marantz 7011) was displaying Atmos and all seemed well. Today however I got no sound, at all, and the amp displays STEREO when using the Xbox. So I read a couple of posts and tried to
fix it but I cant get it to work.

I I set it manually to 7.1 och stereo in the audio settings I get sound. If I set it to Atmos again its no audio. If I set it to bitstream withou atmos I get DTS Neural X, which I dont want. No matter what I do Atmos renders the Xbox with no audio at all.
I mean come on, it worked fine for 2 days and the out of the blue its not.

I have tried literally everything and Atmos wont work. I have read countless posts on this topic and no one has a definitive fix.

I have a similar problem which causes me to only get PCM on my x2600h and after some research found that most AVR's have been updated to dolby 1.6 and the xbox is still at 1.5

Only work around i have found is to downgrade the AVR firmware to match the xbox until they bother to update. Worth a go if you're still having issues

Please try this >

* Put stereo into audio setings

* Uninstall Dolby access app

* Press and HOLD 10 sec the powerbutton of your xbox

* Restart the console

* Re-install dolby access app and launch it then follow the install step by step via that app
