Xbox One X doesn't recognize HDR

Hi guys,

Here's my problem, I have a 4K / HDR TV, here is the french link to it, (yeah sorry, didn't find an english link) :

- Acheter le Philips 6000 series Téléviseur LED Smart TV ultra-plat 4K 43PUS6162/12 Téléviseur LED Smart TV ultra-plat 4K

So as far as I think, my TV has HDR, and still, when I'm going in the video settings of the Xbox, it says that I'm 4k ready, but that games will not be played with HDR.

Did someone ever had this problem on another TV before ? Is there a way to fix this ?

1080P HDR support

Hi,

Only the Xbox One S and the One X support HDR. HDR isn't linked to resolution, so, technically, HDR can work at 1080P. However, in the interest of not confusing consumers, Microsoft have locked HDR to 4K displays only, which is mostly industry standard
anyway. I'm pretty sure even 1440P doesn't support HDR on One S or One X either.

Need help setting up HDR support on my Samsung 4K TV

Did you go to ? General tab >External device manager>HDMI color?

I have an MU6000 samsung 4k tv 2017 model and that's the only way my xbox one X recognizes HDR.

Hey there, as far as I can see, the TV doesn't have HDR, on the box was there any indication of this?

Well it is solved.

The manual is just bad, they are saying "dynamic contrast" for HDR.

+ nothing is written in the manual, you have to tap the help button on the TV, so you can see that HDMI 1 doesn't have HDR, but HDMI 2 and 3 does.

Hope that would help people that have the same TV as me !

Hi,

While Fortnite is Xbox One X enhanced, it doesn't have HDR support. This is why you don't see an HDR notification on your TV or see any HDR settings in the game menu. I'm also quite sure that Apex, while also Enhanced, doesn't
have HDR either.

Note that not all games that are Xbox One Enhanced also have HDR, it's not standard.

Erm........................You do realise that any game that runs on the Xbox One X also runs on the Xbox One S? And because of this, any game that is HDR on the Xbox One X is also HDR on the Xbox One S.

So basically, any game you find that is HDR on the Xbox One X is also HDR on the Xbox One S
