XBox One X doesn't recognize any headsets

Hi,

We are having the exact same issue but what is more frustrating is that we have two controllers and what with out Hyper X headset, but now have stopped working. So I believe this has nothing to do with the headset and is a system bug. I have been in touch
with Xbox about this issue and they said they are aware this is a know issue and are trying to resolve is but at this stage they really have no answers.

So we are left with headsets that dont work and frustrated kids who cannot chat with their friends.

Just fix the bug Xbox!!

I don't believe it has anything to do with the 4K..

It might be an actual issue with that particular Xbox one X controller where the headset connects into the

3.5 mm jack. If possible, you might want to try another Xbox one X controller (if you have one or if you can borrow one) and

connect the headset to that one

to see if it works.. that'll tell you whether or not the issue is actually with the controller.. and since it's an Xbox one X, it'll

definitely still be under the 1 year manufacturer warranty for you to be able to replace the controller.

If it is a wired headset have you tried updating the controller software? If you’re unsure how to do this, follow the steps listed here.

The next thing I would try is the console factory reset.

Before we do that we want to make sure you know your email and password for your Microsoft account because you'll

need to redownload your profile(s) back onto the Xbox and reconnect to your network / wifi .

Make sure you go with the option "Keep my games and apps" when resetting the console.

Also, you do have the option to send in your Xbox for repair since you're under the 1 year manufacturer warranty.

I followed the process for resetting the console to the factor defaults and it did not fix the problem. I would like to send the Xbox in for repair. Please advise how to go about that.
