I am 2 months out of warranty and my Xbox one x has the black screen of death. I've tried everything. Different Hdmi cables, different displays, cold boot, held power down for 5 secs then power and eject for 15 secs till the second beep and nothing. Seems
online when I searched there might been a known issue. I have barely had this console over a year.

    :)

With what you've tried, it might just need service. You can intiate that at
    Microsoft Device Support page.

One thing I would additionally troubleshoot is connecting remotely, either on Windows 10 Xbox Console Companion app to see if it displays there?

There is also the low resolution mode to try at boot up.
This page has the details how to get there,
under "Your screen is blank after you turn on the console" > "Reset your display settings".

Let us know if you have further questions or if one of those solved your issue!

    Best of luck!

How do I download Minecraft from Minecraft:Xbox one edition

I do still own the disc and I have inserted it into the Series X. I had both versions installed on my Xbox One S, but I would prefer to have the updated one, as its not so out of date. I tried to power up my Xbox One about an hour ago, but it doesn't display anything on my TV, and it did before. I'm worried the hardware might be at the end of its life, so I may not be able to even check if its on there.

Edit: Issue with the Xbox One S not displaying anything has been resolved, I will need to check if it still appears or whether I can re-install it on there

    Xbox one X no signal

I'm very sorry to hear that your Xbox doesn't seem to be displaying... have you checked the following?

    • Verify HDMI cable works with another device
    • Verify the HDMI input on your TV or Receiver works with another device
    • Verify that the HDMI cable is plugged into the HDMI IN port on the Xbox One X
    • If you have another display (like a HDMI computer monitor or another TV) try connecting it to that
    • Try disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable while the Xbox One X is powered on

Check if it's just the display having issues... if if the Xbox One X isn't booting properly:

    1. Turn on the Xbox One X, and connect a LAN cable to your Xbox One X and to your router
    2. Log into your router and check to see if your Xbox One X is showing up on the network
    3. If you can see it on your network than that means that there's an issue in your display chain specifically
    4. If you can't check it that way, see if the Xbox App can detect your Xbox on the network
Do controllers wired to the Xbox One X power on and light up properly? This is another way to check and see if it's a display issue, or if the XBox One X isn't even booting properly

Hopefully one of the items listed above will help us get closer to the source of your problem 🙂

Xbox series x not displaying anything

I'm sorry to hear that. Since we have tried all the possible steps here to sort out the issue. There seems to be a hardware failure with the console already. I would highly recommend sending in the console for repair service. You can create a repair order by logging in to your account to this link, https://account.microsoft.com/devices/select-de....

Select the device that you want to be repaired.

Follow the onscreen steps to complete your service order request.

After Device Services receives your submission, they’ll send you a service order number and an order confirmation email that includes shipping or drop-off instructions.

Xbox series x not displaying anything

Hi there. My name is Ron, I'm an independent advisor. I will be more than happy to help you.

Let's try resetting the video settings of your console and check if that sorts out the issue. Please follow the steps below in sequence.

If there's a disc in the console, eject it.

On the console, press and hold the Power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

Press and hold the Power button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start up in low resolution mode (the Xbox startup screen will appear slightly pixelated).

Note If you have an Xbox Series S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, press and hold the Xbox button  and the Pair button  instead, as your console doesn’t have an Eject button.

In either case, this will start up your console in low resolution mode (640 Ă— 480).
