    Xbox One X Display Settings related to potential bandwidth limitations.


    Is there any information anywhere regarding Xbox One X's output settings For 4k? I need to know what options are chooseable for games to play at as it pertains to bandwidth limitations of HDMI. In fact everyone considering this device should want to know.
    This matters for 4k support @ 30hz/60hz,, HDR as well. Here are some options,

    RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4, 4:2:2, 4:2:0, meaning 16 bit, 12 bit, 10 bit, or 8 bit.

    Things like 4:4:4 require more bandwidth and without knowing if dithering is happening or if there are selectable options users will not know if the One X will support their TV. Some devices have 13.5gbps HDMI, others 10gbps, and naturally 18gbps which
    all should be supported. Thanks!!

    Hi!

    It would seem a problem related to the
    HDMI     cable. Try replacing the cable or changing the door on the TV. Alternatively, check the

    display settings     on the console and try setting the resolution to 720p. Let us know if it works!

    XBOX ONE X HDR look dark and blurry with "TCL 55P605" TV ?

    Verify that your TV is capable of HDR by going to the Xbox One X display settings and open "4K TV details".

    In the Xbox One X display settings, ensure you have "color depth" set to at least "30 bits per pixel (10-bit)" to enable HDR.

    There's no official support documentation specifically about the Xbox One X yet.

    However, I'd imagine it will at least have the same support for 4K+HDR carried over from the Xbox One S, the specifications and troubleshooting of which can be found below.

    You might have to see if you limit bandwidth via your modem/router. If you have that option then you could set it to that the Xbox receives X amount of bandwidth maximum, leaving the remainder for the rest of the household.

    When you connect the Xbox is it downloading an update either to itself or for a game? If you have limited bandwidth that could potentially cause issues for other devices. That's really about it, connecting one additional device shouldn't be causing others
    to lose access. The Xbox is just another device accessing the internet it does not take over or change any network settings.

    Xbox disconnects from wifi evry hour or so

    Could be a number of things..

    First, is it every hr exactly or roughly from usage or on the hr like 1pm then 2pm...?

    - If its exactly every hour there maybe a Wifi router policy that refreshes the connection (sometimes called lease), times out after a set interval or a bandwidth limit.

    - It its on the hr there could be something else causing interference that is triggering at that time and disconnecting you

    - There could be some other type on interference that is dropping the connection.

    - It could be the router and a memory issues related to continues connections.

    I would personally check for interference or electrical items coming on just before the disconnect.

    Settings within the router related to lease times and bandwidth limitations.

    It could also be a hardware issue with the xbox wifi.

    Instead of using the USB cable turn your phones hotspot setting on. Connect the console to the hotspot via Wifi and you can possibly play online. This is not likely going to be a good experiences though due to limited bandwidth and potential lag; this
    would be game dependent.

    While this can be done it is not a recommended setup.
