Xbox One X disconnecting from wifi 10 or minutes after connecting. Every time.

I game on wifi as well, because unfortunately hardwired isn't an option where I'm, and sometimes I get extreme lag to the point of disconnecting. What I have noticed in my case, is that the lag tends to be the most on the wifi 5g access point, rather then
on the less demanding 2.4g setting.

Can I ask which setting you're on and maybe trying one or the other?

Have you tried connecting the console to a different frequency or changing the wireless channel?

Try changing the frequency from the 2.4GHz to the 5GHz and vice versa.

I have watched many YouTube videos and read on many forums and support pages that it might be caused by interference. With so many wirless devices around us, this can become a problem.

I've also solved this on a friends console by changing the wireless channel on the router. If you know how to do this, give it a go and consult your router manual. If you don't know how to do it, consult an IT specialist.

So yeah, give it a try (If you have a dual band router - 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz)

It would if you can try and run a either net cable from router to xbox and see if you have issues with that 🤔

I can understand your frustration with your wi-fi issues. I dealt with the same problems with my XBOX and everything else was working fine. Bandwidth is always a big problem with lag on certain devices and XBOX is no exception. No matter the XBOX version,
wireless is always an issue so I ultimately ran an ethernet and hardwired mine. Depending on your layout where your XBOX is located, that may not be an option. You might try shutting down any other devices using your wi-fi while your playing XBOX and see if
that helps. Using the 2.4Ghz versus the 5.0Ghz will also help.
