Xbox One X disc drive to loud to be used as an UHD Bluray player

I've had problems with resonance/vibration with other electronics on different furniture in the past (e.g. my former iMac on my desk). What helped me in that case was using furniture coasters (cloth ones helped more than those made out of plastic) - or as
was already mentioned - trying anti-vibration mats.

It's probably cheapest and easiest to try that first.

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. That kind of sounds like it could be an internal component on the Xbox One X itself. I would recommend looking into Getting
your Xbox console or Kinect sensor serviced. It should not be so loud that it interferes with hearing the content itself.

Have you tried anti vibration mats they can be bought cheaply from amazon in a variety of sizes I haven't tried one with my one x but we have our washing machine and my fish tank air pump on them and they work a treat. It maybe worth a try.

It's normal unfortunately 4k uhd discs have to spin faster than normal blu ray so the noise is the disc drive most of the 4k uhd blu ray players have a similar problem it's infuriating during quite scenes.

You can either put your xbox in a cabinet to reduce the noise or I bought a pioneer udp lx 500 as the disc drives are soundproofed but there hefty and there not cheap but they do have a noticeably better picture than the xbox one x.
