Xbox One X disc drive noise level

Same... For me xbox one is not silent ... When the disc is in the drive the noise level is much more of ps4...,and the fan also make Little squeaking noise

Thanks for your post! If there is a lot of mechanical noise coming from your console, then it may have an issue with either one of the fans since there is not disc in the console. Sometimes a bearing can go bad and cause these sounds. Check out our

We understand your concern of the noise your disc drive makes on occasion when inputting discs in to play. I'd be happy to provide some information.

Generally, we want to put the disc in at the same level as the Xbox and slowly to let the disc drive take the disc and insert into it's position where it will spin and have an optical laser read the disc. If for whatever reason the angle you insert the disc
causes the disc drive to insert the disc in the incorrect position, the noise generally comes from the disc hitting the sides or being impeded by something internally.

I suggest either moving the Xbox to a higher level, or get down to the level the disc drive is in and insert the disc straight in. If the console continues to make noise when inserting the disc, then you will need to send in your Xbox for repair. This article

It's normal unfortunately 4k uhd discs have to spin faster than normal blu ray so the noise is the disc drive most of the 4k uhd blu ray players have a similar problem it's infuriating during quite scenes.

You can either put your xbox in a cabinet to reduce the noise or I bought a pioneer udp lx 500 as the disc drives are soundproofed but there hefty and there not cheap but they do have a noticeably better picture than the xbox one x.

Hey there Abyss! On the noise issue, we recommend installing the games to the HDD. That way it won't have to spin the disc as much, reducing noise and extending the life of your drive.

In regards to your disc scratches, please make sure the console is being stored on a level and secure surface and that no one is moving or bumping the console while a game disc is spinning. Let me know if this helps, thanks!
