    XBOX ONE X DEV MODE I Left and Cant Return....


    So I went through the whole process to activate and use Dev Mode. In the DEV MODE Activation app it stopped at "Almost There. You're almost ready for development, but first we need to update your xbox. After the updates, come back to this app and you'll
    be able to switch to development mode". No updates started, I had no idea where to go from here so I hit up the internet. Everywhere I was seeing to go into settings>console info and push LB RB LT RT to reveal an enable DEV MODE setting. This worked and I
    rebooted into DEV MODE. I messed around for a while but needed to get to sleep. I didn't want to leave the console in DEV MODE confusing the family the next day so I chose to leave DEV MODE.

    The next day I went back to settings>console info and once again pushed LB RB LT RT and ... Nothing... I went over to the DEV MODE Activation app and still "Almost There. You're almost ready....". I have powered off the console, unplugged the console and
    still nothing... So now I have paid $19 for nothing. I have looked everywhere online and found nothing telling me how to get back to DEV MODE other than the above 2 methods which are not working... Please, is there something I am not finding, doing???

    Which console are you trying to activate dev mode on? Are you using a console from Xbox One family or the Xbox Series X|S?

    If you're using an Xbox One, you have to perform this through the "Dev Mode Activation" app
    If you're using an Xbox Series X|S, you have to perform this through the "Xbox Dev Mode" app

    Help please my xbox 1 cant leave dev mode i never got a settings or deleted it? As i have no leave dev mode button!!!

    Jerbear thanx for the reply but i already looked thru all that... My main question is why i was able to delete or never got cant remember the dev mode settings tab where it hav a big leave dev mode button... I also have no way to sideload.... This is a huge
    problem for evereyone on this dev mode as i cant get settings tab ???

    It is entirely possible they sold it because they could not get it out of dev mode. In dev mode you cannot play games on the console

    Deactivate your console using the Dev Mode Activation app

    The preferred method of deactivating Developer Mode on your console is to use the
    Dev Mode Activation app.

    1. Navigate to Games & apps > App
    2. Open the Dev Mode Activation app.
    3. Select Deactivate.

    OR

    Switch to Retail Mode

    First, return your Xbox One console to Retail Mode.

    1. Open Dev Home.
    2. Select Leave Dev Mode. Your console will restart in Retail Mode.
    OR Reset your console

    You can also deactivate Developer Mode by resetting your console.

    Note

    When you reset your console, all local save game data will be lost.

    To reset your console perform the following steps:

    1. Go to My games & apps.
    2. Select Apps, and then select
      Settings      .
    3. Go to System in the left pane, and then select
      Console info in the right pane.
    4. Select Reset console.
