    Xbox One X defaults to 7.1 Audio


    I always have to set bitstream out and Dolby atmos on my Xbox. Seems every time I shutdown and restart it defaults to 7.1. When will this bug be fixed?! Seems to have been happening for over a year now, and never addressed or fixed

    I hope so, what's the point in having Atmos capability in this machine when its not working properly, all the forums is crowded with people having the same issues, its rather lazy that Xbox team isn't patching this asap, everything in my system is now
    Atmos ready except this stupid console.

    um having the same problem with One X and Sony HT ST 5000.

    Everytime i switch from apps to games it automatically goes to either 7.1 or Bitstream DTS, got the Atmos app and done everything right but still they dont fix it...

    DTS reverting back to Uncompressed 7.1

    I have the same issue as does my friend. The Xbox one will just randomly lose it's audio settings and default back to "7.1 uncompressed".

    Check if there is an in-game option for the speaker/audio configuration. It's possible that the game itself has defaulted to using only the front channels even though the Xbox One is set up to output 5.1 or 7.1.
