Xbox One X dead on arrival

I picked up my Xbox One X Scorpio Edition yesterday but when i booted it up for the first time error E102 appears with 'Something Went Wrong'. I contacted Xbox Support and reset it, restored to factory, unplugged etc but nothing worked.

Its dead.

Is anyone else getting this issue?

Ive also seen another issue where the screen goes black and powers off.

I have a replacement Scorpio console on the way but now im worried it wont work either.

Heads will roll at Microsoft after the disaster at E3 "Off with their heads" Those responsible for creating the 24 check in and not allowing used games at will should be fired. I will not buy XBOX ONE under those conditions.

As much as I love Xbox, I cannot justify this crap by buying an Xbox One. I just can't do it. This console is dead on arrival.

 

My Xbox1xSE self shut off and will not turn on at all.

Worse yet is that for some reason the MS website where one would submit a repair request isn't working for me.

I tried 6 different browsers on this PC and wife's laptop and it just keeps showing "Retrieving your eligibility" when i click on my console icon.

I am more disappointed that i can't find a xbox support phone number anywhere.

Can you please tell me how did you to contact Xbox support?

This is my first xbox.

 

Same boat as you 2 and theres no units in my area Gamestop wise, start a game when it tries to load in black screen and after a few seconds console turns off.

 

For future readers - Illucious is absolutely correct that 1-800-4MY-XBOX is the Xbox support line. If your Xbox One X is DOA, give them a call, but expect that they might be busy today. And tomorrow. And probably for the next several days.

Sorry to hear about the launch-day problems. One thing for everyone to keep in mind as this forum fills up: people with complaints will post here much more often than people with no issues. That doesn't minimize the problems people are having, but the tone
of this forum over the next couple of months will probably be more negative than the full picture would show. So don't get too discouraged I guess is my message.

 

Ok so it has been 24hrs since I setup my Xbox X SE. I have been playing Forza 7. I have only had 1 problem so far on boot up I got a black screen and flickering. I held down the power button for 10 seconds and done a hard reboot. everything was fine. just
incase, I have gone into my console setting and console info and taken a screen shot of serial numbers and console id. just incase it does fail then at least I can give Microsoft the correct info.

I have given my xbox one to my sister. so this is the only console I have.

I hope the Xbox X does not fail on me.

I am guessing if it does not fail within the next 48hrs I should be ok.

 

Mine is also dead, worked the 1st night played some forza 7 then in the morning nothing. Contacted support on chat and havent heard back from them.
