So at first I started having these problems within the past few months with my console. It started with Modern Warfare which is Xbox One X enhanced. The game would crash every once and a while however now the game crashes my console whenever I open the
game. Once my console reboots I am greeted with a ventilation and overheating message despite my console not being hot at all. I thought this issue was isolated to Modern Warfare however my console has recently crashed with the same message while opening City
Skylines Xbox One Edition and No Man's Sky, which are both Xbox One X Enhanced. My theory is that the enhanced games are what are crashing my console. I've seen other people who have similar issues but I haven't found a good fix. My One X is a Scorpio edition
    if that helps.

    :)

I had the same problem. I played Doom Eternal and my console would switch off and the fan would sound very loud before it shut down. I thought it was an issue with the game. But later it happened on Red Dead Redemption 2 and Outerworlds which are Enhanced
games. I decided to buy a new Xbox One X because sending my Project Scorpio Edition away for repair would have been a hassle. Not only was the new Xbox One X not as loud but it didn't shut down over and over again on. If you ask me you'll have the same problem.
You either will need it repaired or replaced. Sorry

some games especially cod make the xbox work harder so it will heat up . There could be dust in the system.

Make sure s round is clear especially the back as this is were the heat blows out , and if its close to a wall a cabinet it will build the heat up . 🤔

Best thing to do first and foremost would be buy the kit to take it apart if its not under warranty and clear it of any debris and dust if you haven't.

The console is definitely out of warranty so I may try that. I've seen a lot of people have issues with the thermal paste drying out which now that i think about it could be a cause of the issue. I'm most likely going to hold out until the Series X as
that's right around the corner and try to fix the one x.
