Xbox One X - controller won't turn it on.

Hello,

I have a brand new Xbox One X. The controller which came with it won't turn it on. I synced an additional controller and the result is the same. Same for the media remote. Once the console is on, the controllers and remote function fine, controlling
functions as the normally would. But the only way to turn on the console is to press the physical button on the console. I've tried connecting the controllers via usb, but the result remains the same. Hard restart, power cycle, etc. No dice. Thoughts?

My sync button turns off my Xbox one X and won't connect any controllers.

When controllers do connect they disconnect and flash.

Had this problem since beginning of February.

This has been happening to a few people recently.

Here's a solution that might work.

Get a microUSB cable (you might have one for your phone) and use it to connect the controller to the console. Then, fully restart the console: press Xbox button to open the Guide > Settings tab (far right) > Restart

After it starts back up, you should be able to unplug the controller and it should power on/off correctly.

You could also try resyncing the controller wirelessly. Hold the sync button on the controller (top edge, near LB) until the light flashes. Press the sync button the console (bottom edge, on the front), and the power light should flash. Hold the two flashing
devices close together, until the flashing syncs up between them, and they both go solid. That may fix the issue.
