Xbox One X constant wifi issues

This is going to be a long post but i need answers. Back in November 2017 i got the Xbox One X at launch. I upgraded from a One S. From the moment i started using it i began disconnecting from xbox live while hardwired every 30 minutes or so. I tried wifi
and the issue continued. It happened so much over the next year i ended up getting a new one in hopes it was just a faulty console. I fired up the new one and the issue was still there almost immediately. Now while this was happening patch notes for preview
builds stated there was known issues with wifi stability. My gaming kind of slowed down and the issue kind of faded away but only for a few short months. We are now in june 2019 and the problem is back and does it atleast once a day. I have done everything
in my power to try and make this stop. Port forwarding. 2.4 ghtz 5 ghtz. Hardwire. Factory resets. Profile redownloading. Firmware updates on my router. I need answers. Ill be mid game or watching youtube the connection is just gone. When yoy hit the guide
button everything is greyed out. Simply going offline and going back online again fixes the issue. I am so sick of getting kicked from games etc. Especially while playing gears 4 bevsuse they ban you for leaving games. Idk what to do anymore. Someone plesee
give me real help and not the normal troubleshooting steps. Somethings wrong wjth the software or the wifi hardware. Every other device in my house works fine when this happens. I know its not my internet or my router.

A Few things I would check...

1. How old is your router?

2. How many devices connect to the router?

3. Have you checked the condition of the ethernet cable used to connect to router?

I had similar issues that required a reboot of the router so my X1X would connect but then replaced the 4yr old router I was using and haven't had the issue again.

Thanks for coming to the forums. There could be many reasons why this is happening from the console side to your Internet service provider side. There could be issues with the router, console, wiring in house, lines coming to the house and so on. When you
get disconnected, does the router turn off also? Do you see the lights go off on the modem/router? Is your console plugged directly into a wall outlet? Using a power strip or ext. cord, can cause many different issues if the console is not getting the recommended
power.

I will try doing energy saving mode and not using a surge protector but i know it wont work. Will update tonight.

Hello ,

I would recommend turning off instant-on and switch it to energy-saving mode (system > settings > power & startup > power mode). Instant-on has been known to cause issues.

If your xbox is still under warranty you can request a repair if you believe the wifi chip may be faulty. I would also recommend reaching out directly to the
Microsoft Support staff by requesting a call through the virtual assistant.

With how many people i see with issues theres no way this hasent been recreated internally?? My 2nd X literally did it 5 minutes out of the box just like the 1st one. Im mind blown at this point.
