    Xbox One X console streaming preview picture freezes every 5 seconds


    I have been using both xCloud streaming and console streaming on the same network. xCloud streaming has been perfect with no delay to speak of and good streaming quality.

    However, when I try to stream from my local Xbox One X, the picture stream would reliably freeze every 5 seconds for about a second. The sound would continue playing normally during this time and I can even control the game normally. I have tested this on both wired and wireless network.

    To test this I started streaming a game with an in game menu that would produce a sound when I move from one item to the next (like Pillars of Eternity) and constantly move from one item to another to produce predictable sounds. When the image freeze happens, I can still hear the menu moving and my control still got through.

    Xbox One and Charter Communications

    After the last update my Charter cable has no audio and the picture freezes every 5 seconds.

    The Charter tech just left my house and said I had to bypass the Xbox One and go directly from the cable box to the TV. After doing that the cable works perfect.

    Any idea if this is being corrected by Xbox or does anyone know of a work-around?

    Still no answer? YouTube and Netflix stream HD but game trailers freeze (I assume to buffer) every ~8 seconds.

    I am getting lag on hdmi pass through as well, the picture and sound freeze for half a second every few seconds and then resumes from somewhere else.

    I had the freezing tv picture on a uk virgin media tivo. Worked from Friday to Tuesday then started freezing every few seconds. I tried the hard reset of my console and everything is working again. Same cables, same connection, just a console hard reset.
    As stated previously let's hope MS release a patch for this.
