Xbox One X Connection/Live/Account Issues with Two New Consoles

I received my first new Xbox One X and completed set up without a single issue. During use of the Xbox in the first couple days, I was having issues with my Xbox not automatically signing me in when I turned on the console. I would get various error codes
saying that my internet wasn't connected (when in fact it was), Xbox live wasn't available (which it also was), etc. - the biggest irritation was spending 30 minutes every time I wanted to use my Xbox, to restart the console and hoped that it automatically
signed me in or could connect my account. It rarely connected on start up, but after restarting it had a 75% chance of completing sign in.

I've read all the forums pertaining to these issues and have done all the basic troubleshooting tasks. I even downloaded the required installation update and did the update offline. At this point I'm wondering if it's my router+modem compatibility with the
Xbox... but not sure all that's related (not my area).

I eventually just gave up and asked for a replacement. The replacement just arrived and I ran into this error during installation:

"There was a problem with the update. You need this update to use your console, but something went wrong. For help, visit xbox.com/xboxone/update/help.

Console ID: xxxx.

Error code: 0x8B0500B6 0x00000000 0x00000201

This is a new error I've never encountered before and couldn't find the code on the Xbox Error Status Codes page. I already have a feeling I'm going to continue to have issues with my Xbox. Has any one experienced a similar issue and had a successful troubleshooting
result? Any helpful feedback would be greatly appreciated - thank you!!

You may want to factory reset your router as well and set it up again. It sounds like there is an issue between it and the console. I would also try the basic stuff like power cycling or factory reseting the console keeping games and apps.

Sorry to hear you are running into these connectivity issues. I would advise to go through some Network Connection Troubleshooting to see if there is any network error messages appearing. Go ahead and follow the following links for some basic troubleshooting.

I am also having problems connecting to Xbox live on my Xbox one x. Unable to access destiny 2 or Elite dangerous on the new console yet have no problems accessing the. From my Xbox one which is connected to the same broadband connection via the same switch.

For the Xbox Series X, that console has to use the account that purchased the game and the DLC and must be connected to xbox Live. For the Xbox One X, any account can be used as long as the account that purchased the game and its DLC is set as home Xbox.
