    I've been trying to find a solution to an issue I have recording captures while playing online. Even if I select 45 or 30 seconds manually from the capture options it will only record 6-9 seconds. I tried changing the resolution, capture time, and other
    settings. I tired restarting the Xbox (hold power button for 10 seconds) and unplugging power for 30 seconds to clear cache. I have an Xbox One X with 1TB internal storage and 2TB external, both have more than 50% of their capacity available. Captures are
    being saved to the internal storage. When I restart or mess with the settings, it might record one or two 30 second clips, but then reverts back to 6 or 9 second clip when I actually try to use it in-game. Most of the captures I've noticed with this issue
    have been from Call of Duty Modern Warfare, not sure if that's related. I have fiber internet and my Xbox is hardwired through a TP-Link gigabit ethernet switch, HDMI is run through an HDMI splitter, not sure how either of those could cause the issue but I

    So i have looked under those settings and have “record what happened” set to 45 seconds and yet it still only will record for 6-9 seconds.

    So recently when I record a clip (30 seconds 1080p), it will usually record only the first 5-7 seconds of the clip. I am not low on my storage for clips or for my Xbox One X in general. I've been playing Gears 5 and want to record a highlight but its frustrating

    By default, it records that last 30 seconds when you use the Kinect ("Xbox record that") or use the X button on your controller. However, you can adjust how much gameplay time is captured in settings on your console.
