Xbox One X - Cannot find on network via Xbox app for Windows or Android until manually turned ...

As the title states my new Xbox One X cannot be found on the network via the Xbox App while in standby mode. After the Xbox X is manually powered on then I can use the app to stream and do other things. I double check all the settings that I could find on
the Xbox one X and all permissions are granted for the App. Which makes sense since I see it once it's powered on manually.

Is this a known issue? Suggestions?

xbox remote power-on does not work.

hi.

xbox remote power-on via windows 10 xbox app does not work.

Once the xbox is turned on (when the power is turned on directly) streaming works well.

But not only the power-on operation.

In android smart glass app also powering up does not work.

Of course xbox is left set to standby.

Anybody have any good ideas?

Xbox One Smartglass App cannot find my xbox one

Hi All

Hope somebody can help me. As the title suggests i cannot get this app to work

Equipment

1. Xbox One 500gb

2. Router - Virgin Media Super Hub 1

3. Nokia Lumia 630

I cannot got my my phone xbox one smart glass app to find my xbox one.

So far I have tried

1. Reset Router

2. Reboot router (unplug)

3. Reboot xbox one (unplug)

4. Checked using xbox one smart glass app on phone ( tried both regular and beta version).

5. Gone to xbox settings and made sure smartglass access in enabled

6.No fancy stuff set up on router lik VPN, guest networks or isolation mode

7. Typed in I.P address of the xbox one manually

8. switched off celluar on my phone and only connecting via wifi

The xbox one smart glass app works find on my wife's andriod phone and out windows 8.1 desktop. Only the Lumia 630's Xbox 360 smart glass app connect fine too

Are your PC and your Xbox One X console connected to the same network?

Have you tried to restart your router and set up the connection settings to your devices again?

Issues with streaming your Xbox One X on your PC are possibly caused by network connection issue or your network settings are not configured correctly. To properly isolate your concern, please clarify the following information:

Are your PC and your Xbox One X console connected to the same network?

Have you tried to restart your router and set up the connection settings to your devices again?

Did you set the power settings to Instant On in on your Xbox One X?

Please read my post before replying next time. I mentioned I can stream just fine and connect to the xbox
once it's powered on.

So yes, in order to do that you have to be on the same network. Also, I'm not sure if you know, but you can stream from anywhere outside your network as long as your xbox is in the DMZ.

Of course, the xbox is set to Instant On. Who doesn't use instant on?

This worked perfectly fine on my xbox one regular. No settings have changed.

I've been having tons of issues switching to this all powerful "X" that's been talked up.

I have this issue too with my Xbox One X and the Android GamePass app. This used to work however something must have changed in either my Dashboard (Preview Alpha) or the Android app. Strangely enough, the Android GamePass app is able to uninstall items
on my console and record the installation progress when I manually install GamePass games on my console.

I have reported this issue both on the GamePass app and via console Insider Hub report feature.

Same issue here. But I wasn't able to connect at all.

Samsung Galaxy S3, android 4.3 + XBox One same Wi-Fi network. App can't find console just by clicking "connect" button and entering IP address manually.
