Xbox One X buzzing then shut down issue

Hi,

Can anyone help with this issue.

So back in Nov '18 I bought RDR2 (digital copy).

Couldn't get past first loading screen without console making a buzzing sound for about 5 seconds then console would shut off.

After a lot of troubleshooting the console was sent for repair (under warranty) and came back. Had some intermittent issues with the console doing this on other games since but they have worked eventually.

So now I've downloaded Two Point hospital via game pass and purchased House Flipper (again digital). Two Point will randomly make buzzing noise and shut off, house flipper can't even load into a new game before this happens making it totally unplayable.

I have spoke with support and my warranty has expired, they say it sounds like hardware issue but I can play other games with no issue so I just really don't understand what is causing this.

I can't seem to find any other people who have had this problem. I've done all troubleshooting again including a factory reset but it keeps happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like a vent to me and overheating. Try with some compressedair on the side. It is very strange since no other game has the same issue. Hm. Maybe only that game make a vent to spin faster. Anyway, try this:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

2. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.

3. Press and hold the BIND (controller sync button located on the left side of the console or bottom right if a one S or one X) and the EJECT button and then just press the Xbox button on the console once.

4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

7. To reset your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, use the D-pad and A button on your controller to select Reset this Xbox.

9. When prompted, select Keep games and apps. This option will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

I had the same problem so I took my XBOX one to GameStop come to find out that my drive was loose and they fix it.

Try performing a hard reset by pressing the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts off completely. Then unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.

I would think the same however it does it from a cold start so doesn't have time to get warm.

It's in a well ventilated area too.
